Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be able to host the Gathering in Lancaster, PA, this year. But we would like the Gathering to take place. Our instructors are very willing to work with an online format, using ZOOM. This will allow you to still take up to seven workshops over two days, and all of us can remain safely at home. We think this is a fun and exciting way to make the best of a difficult situation and still host the Gathering.
To register for this year’s Gathering, please download and print the registration form. This is a two-page pdf file, and includes both the registration form and the workshop selection grid that needs to be completed and sent in with it. As a reminder, please do register early if possible. Online workshops are limited to a maximum of 30 people.
For this year’s DulciZOOM Gathering, the registration fee is $5, no matter how many workshops you take. Each workshop is $10. Your registration and payment must be received not later than June 30. There will be no refunds after that date.
How will holding the Gathering via ZOOM work?
1. Instructors will have a list of names and email addresses of everyone who is registered for each of their workshops, and will email you specific sign on intructions. You will be invited to join only the workshops for which you registered.
2 Music handouts for each of your workshops will be emailed in pdf format in advance.
3. If you have never used ZOOM before, you can watch tutorials on their website, www.zoom.us. On their top menu, click on “resources” followed by “video tutorials.” We will also hold one or more trial ZOOM sessions for anyone who is unfamiliar with using the app.
4. Please understand that it is possible your video reception may not be perfect during any workshop. Normally, this is a very smooth process, but neither the instructors nor Dutchland Dulcimers can be held responsible for transmission problems at your location during workshops.
We hope you will decide to join us for the 2020 Dutchland DulciZOOM Gathering. We can promise you a new and worthwhile experience, perhaps different from the Gathering we expected to host, but still fun!
